Dr. Christopher Widmer
Dr. Christopher Widmer, or Chris as he prefers to be called, grew up in a small town in southern New Hampshire. He left home to attend the world’s oldest, and most prodigious dental school – The Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2011. Third in his graduating class, Dr. Widmer was honored to have been selected by the Dean to receive the graduating class’s highest honor, the Timothy O. Heatwole Chair for exemplary humanitarianism and kindness.
Interested in serving his country, Dr. Widmer then joined the United States Air Force, where he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry in Washington DC. He served both home and abroad, and was humbled to have been given the last coin by then retiring Dental Command Chief, Major General Gerard Caron for his notable professionalism and dedication to mission. He is well versed in many aspects of your dental care, as he practiced general dentistry for five years, earning a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry before deciding to specialize in Endodontics.
Dr. Widmer completed his Endodontic Specialty Training at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. He has lectured at a number of national dental meetings, and his research published in the Journal of Endodontics was recognized as 2019’s Most Influential Paper in Biology. In 2019 Dr. Widmer completed the American Board of Endodontics Board Certification process, becoming one of only a few Board Certified Endodontists practicing in the Naples area.
When not at work, Dr. Widmer is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys spending time with his wife and their four boys.
